Canterbury

Canterbury is quaint little town with a pretty famous cathedral.  We began our trip with an Evensong in Westminster Abby and ended with one in the Canterbury Cathedral.

The Cathedral was founded in 597AD.  It is a world famous pilgrimage site.  This building had been a place of worship during the Roman occupation of Britain and is the oldest church in England still in use.

The town wall was built by the Romans about 200 CE and rebuilt in the Middle Ages.

If you want to see more pictures of our time in Canterbury please feel free to look through our Canterbury England 2018 Album.
