Sometimes the little things make you realize how connected we all are. When I was checking in and talking to the front desk staff we found that we knew some of the same people back in the states. What are the odds?
We had a late lunch at the bar and then went out to visit some sites.
Walking through the streets of England, talking to the people makes me realize it is an older version of Boston.
After stopping at Buckingham Palace for a few pictures we went to the Thames River and walked along the river to see the sights.
The next morning we met the kids for breakfast at the hotel, did some sightseeing in the city and then attended Evensong at Westminster Abbey.
They didn't allow pictures inside the Cathedral because it is a Holy place. The service was like going back in time. I doubt those services have changed much in hundreds of years.
We headed out of town when the service was done and went to my son's house for dinner. The next day we were off to Rome!
